HOW TO COOK PERFECT BASMATI
Basmati Brown Rice is the best
tasting, most aromatic (smells like popcorn when its cooking), nutritious rice
we have found. We eat a serving of
it about 3 or 4 times a week. And
this is the best way that we have ever found to cook it:
cup Basmati Brown Rice
teaspoon Celtic salt, or to taste (found at most health food stores)
most efficient method we have discovered to cook the rice is to use a crockpot.
We have a medium sized crock pot and you will need a stainless steel bowl
that will fit inside of the crockpot.
put about one inch of water in the crockpot.
Put the rice in the stainless bowl and wash it well and drain.
Put the salt and the two cups of water into the bowl of rice and place it
in the crockpot, put the lid on, and turn the setting on high. (Do not cover the
bowl of rice.)
